Salisbury win a line-out in their 58-0 demolition of Corsham.
RUGBY. Salisbury 58 Corsham 0.
SALISBURY climbed to second place in the league after strolling to victory in this re-arranged match at home to Corsham.
The game started well with tries from Triniman and Parsons before they relaxed for the rest of the half. Two penalties from King increased the lead to 20 points at the break.
But a complacent start to the second period saw Corsham camped in Salisbury's half for a quarter of an hour until scrum-half Shipsey made one of his all too rare breaks, scorching 40 yards before being stopped.
This wake-up call galvanised Salisbury into a sense of urgency and tries then arrived via Scaith, White, Parsons, King and full-back Marden.
Add a penalty by King and the home crowd were treated to 38 points in under half an hour by a Salisbury side playing to their full potential.
