THE local District Plan is again up for discussion and the debate about rural buffers has grown in importance.
In the latest proposal it is suggested that an extended rural buffer be created between Paxcroft Mead and the conservation area of Hilperton.
I believe that this is sending out quite the wrong signals to the new residents of Paxcroft Mead, who are within the Parish of Hilperton and are already looking towards the village, its shop, school and churches.
Some of us feel that the debate should be widened to look at the future of Hilperton before the current proposals are set in concrete.
I offered to chair a study group we call Hilperton's Future. The main aim is to provide a focus for the collection of views from both established and new residents.
May I draw the attention of your readers to an advert in your paper seeking comments.
