BEANACRE Cricket Club has been awarded £105,774 by the National Lottery to finish its pavilion.
The pavilion, in the King George playing field, Melksham, will cost £162,729, and Sport England, a group charged with distributing lottery money, has awarded 65 per cent of the cost of the project.
Building work on the rest of the pavilion will start in January and should be finished in time for the next cricket season.
The new pavilion will also be used by local football teams, as well as Lowbourne Infant School and other groups.
