Hundreds of Swindonians turned out for the second lecture of the University of Bath in Swindon's open programme.
Author and writer for the Guardian, Maureen Freely gave families a lesson in what problems they face in modern life with her lecture 'the Parent Trap'.
The hour-long lecture took place on Wednesday evening and was held in the Upper Room of the Savoy on Regent Street.
It was organised as part of the General University Lecture Programme (GULP), which is the University of Bath's free new scheme to get the general public involved in it.
The first lecture was held by zoologist Desmond Morris.
