A ladies darts team has hit the bulls eye for Princess Margaret Hospital's coronary care unit.
The courage Indepen-dent ladies Darts League raised £1000 for the unit and a further £400 for a hospice in Oxford.
Managing director of Arkell's Brewery, James Arkell, presented the cheque on behalf of the team to an auxiliary nurse from the unit last week.
More than 40 players from the league descended on The Plough in Highworth for the end of season awards ceremony, when the presentation took place.
Landlady at The Plough, Julie Snook, said: " The ladies darts league raised the money over the year through subscriptions and donations.
"All our members are very generous and it's thanks to them that we have been able to make such a generous donation to these two worthy causes."
Money was also collected through the pub's swear bottle.
Everyone was asked to donate £1 if they were caught swearing and Julie added the contents to the final total.
