TWO Tea Masters from Malaysia are being flown in to bring a little tranquility to Swindon next week.

The Tchae Tea Tour, organised in conjunction with the Victoria and Albert Museum, is coming to Swindon on Wednesday to the Health Hydro Tranquility Suite in Milton Road at 5pm.

Paul Lim and Camellia Siow will be performing a tea ceremony to relieve stressed minds.

Both experts are tea consultants and tutors at the Purple Cane Tea Art Centre in Kuala Lumpur.

Paul Lim has led numerous delegations to international tea conferences while Camellia Siow is a former journalist who visits all major tea-producing companies, attending and reporting on major world tea gatherings and seminars on tea culture.

Tea was discovered in the Far East when a leaf from a nearby bush fell into a cup of hot water belonging to the Chinese Emperor Shen Nung in 2737BC.

Charlotte Bird, who is co-ordinating the Tea Masters' visit to Swindon, said: "Tea has been known for centuries in the East as a tool for relaxation and meditation.

"Something we take for granted in the West has over centuries of study, been elevated to an art form in the West. The Tchae Tea Ceremony will create a little harmony in people's otherwise hectic lives."
