On the beat tomorrow in Swin-don are two masters of drum and bass Mark and Michael Mondesir.
The Rhythm Section Masterclass is in Green-down School, West Swin-don at 2pm.
Explosive grooves and stabbing rhythms are put under the miscroscope and a taste of the mysterious telepathy between drummer and bass player is explained by the two maes- tros.
Mark Mondesir began his professional career touring and recording with saxophonist Court-ney Pine.
He has worked with many artist including guitarist Keith More and jazz greats such as Julian Joseph, John McLaughlin and Kevin Eubanks.
He has a soft touch, a subtle feel and creates inventive sounds.
Mark's brother Michael started out in 1983 playing bass guitar.
Together they made The Mondesir Brothers.
Michael has also played for Whitney Houston, Tal-vin Singh, Neneh Cherry, Courtney Pine, Billy Cob-ham, Lulu and soul-funk legend Pee Wee Ellis.
Michael has been flexing his writing muscles in the pop, rhythm & blues and dance world, having worked on the second al-bum of Island Records recording artist Lewis Taylor, entitled Lewis II.
The workshop is presented by Percussion Teaching Services and tickets are £10 and available from (01793) 702948 or (07889) 2901815.
