former Swindon Town manager Jimmy Quinn has signed on to play for Hellenic Premier side Highworth.
Since leaving the Town Jim has had spells with Doc Marten's side Cirencester Town and Northwich Victoria and Hereford United from the Nationwide Conference.
Highworth Town manager Gary Goodwin is delighted to have the former Northern Ireland international.
"Jim told me he was setting up a courier business locally and would like to get back into the local soccer scene. The signing is a feather in the cap for us the club has come a long way in the recent year.
"His experience will be valuable to both myself and the players and also encourage a few more people through the gate on a Saturday."
Brian King, general secretary of the Hellenic League, confirmed it was the biggest signing by an Hellenic club since Mark Lawrenson signed for Moreton Town some six years ago.
Quinn turned out for Cricklade Town on an occasional Sunday when he was manager at the County Ground.
Highworth are without a game next week so Quinn is expected to make his first appearance for the club against North Leigh on November 25 unless the Wiltshire Shield match against local rivals Swindon Super-marine is arranged in the meantime.
