A meeting outlining the latest thinking in the genetically modified crops debate will be held in Swindon as part of a series marking the formation of the town's university.
The University of Bath in Swindon has arranged for its Prof-essor of Plant Biology, Graham Henshaw, to give a talk.
It will be held in the upper rooms of the Savoy pub in Regent Street on Wednesday, November 22, beginning at 5.30pm.
Prof Henshaw is calling his speech GM crops: Opportunity or Threat.
The professor is at the forefront of research into the issue, and has worked at the University since 1981.
Before that, he worked at the University of Birmingham and the College of Swansea, having obtained his doctorate at the University of Liverpool in 1960.
The talk is the final event in the university's Gulp Lectures, part of the General University Lecture Programme.
