Minety kept a clean defensive sheet to record their first league victory of the season.
They went ahead with a James Tweedale penalty and added a try through winger Simon Barrett.
A driving maul set up Minety's final score, as the home pack steamrollered the visitors a full 20 metres back down the pitch before flanker Richard Smith broke off with the ball, only to be brought down by a high tackle round the neck. Tweedale successfully kicked a goal from the resulting penalty.
Oakmeadians upped the pace in the second half, but Minety's fine defence held out.
While their first team club-mates were battling their way towards a crucial league victory, Minety seconds found themselves outclassed 36-0 by a lively Oakmeadians second string.
