THE 1960s were reborn in Chippenham's Neeld Hall for the Top Twenty Club Revival on Saturday November 11.

Hundreds of retro fans dressed up in Sixties styles and crowded the sell-out event.

The memorial night was organised as a tribute to the life of Barbara Parker, who died in July last year.

Husband Keith met his wife-to-be at the popular Top Twenty Club in the Neeld Hall in December 1964.

He decided to organise the event in memory of his wife to raise funds for Dorothy House Hospice. Fans enjoyed four hours of nostalgia with a buffet, music and dancing.

Tribute band The Brand New Cadillacs played favourites by the Kinks, the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.

The Chippenham Le Roc Jive Club displayed their dancing skills.

"The event exceeded my wildest expectations. And at least half the people were youngsters in their twenties, which was wonderful," Mr Parker said.

He is still counting the proceeds but he was optimistic at least a thousand pounds had been raised for Dorothy House. Another tribute will be held next November.
