TWO Millennium embroideries depicting Cherhill past and present have been given pride of place in the village hall.
The cross-stitch pieces are the result of a year's dedicated work by the 15 members of Cherhill Women's Institute for their Millennium project.
They were handed over as a gift to the village last month and will be permanently displayed in the hall.
"It was a real labour of love," said WI president Jacqui Raven, 42, of Park Lane.
"We really wanted to do this for the village and I was very proud to see them go up."
Around the edge of the embroideries are different scenes depicting Cherhill over the last 1,000 years and showing organisations within the village.
In the centre are collages showing Cherhill in the year 2000.
