THE popular Parish Singers Choir has been given a new name to recognise the villages from which it was founded.
The singers will now be known as the Brinwell choir to reflect that the group was first formed by villagers in Brinkworth and Crudwell about 11 years ago.
The choir has expanded recently to include members from Malmesbury, Minety, Wootton Bassett, Cricklade, Purton and Swindon.
Singers will give their first performance as the Brinwell Choir under the leadership of conductor, Roy Saunders, at Brinkworth Church, on November 22, at 7.30pm.
They will also perform Christmas carols at Malmesbury Hospital and Wootton Bassett's Ridgeway House next month.
