RUGBY: Salisbury turned on a devastating display of controlled rugby to register a 61-7 victory over Sherborne.
Skipper Don Parsons made the first try with lancing runs from the base of the scrum, driving his team upfield until he scored the opener which Cameron converted.
Moments later, the backs demonstrated their skills with quick ball along the line to put King in near the corner.
The visitors tried using the wind to kick their way out of trouble, but Salisbury gratefully accepted possession and ran back into the Sherborne 22 until lock Gary Hill took crash ball to score his first try for the club.
Winger Pete White then took a high ball on his own 22 and a fine solo run ended under Sherborne's posts. Up to now this had been a metronomic acquisition of points.
Then Salisbury's discipline let them down and with Parsons sin-binned, Salisbury broke every law until, penalised repeatedly, they allowed Sherborne to score their first try in three games.
Hedges made a storming run which led to a classic flankers try from Triniman for King to convert and moments later, big second row Jeff Niblett picked up loose ball and outpaced the defence over 30 yards to score.
Salisbury started to turn the screw and, looking for the big score, set up ruck after ruck, sucking the defence in until they had created a four-man overlap for centre King to score out wide.
In the dying seconds, Salisbury repeated the tactics for Shipsey to steal a cheeky scrum half try.
