IT was a night of magic at All Cannings Primary School when pupils and parents enjoyed an evening of bedtime stories.
It was the second time youngsters have got ready for bed early as part of the school's Book Week.
Infants, juniors and even a few parents donned their pyjamas for Wednesday's event.
The school's teachers had the chance to sit back and relax while school cleaner, Carol Little, former parent Anne Cooper and Lynne Bearman, a former teacher, took turns in the storyteller's chair.
No-one fell asleep as the storytellers enthralled everyone with three stories including Percy the Park Keeper.
There was a story for the adults, and one tale each for the juniors and the infants. After the bedtime tales, the sleepyheads tucked into cocoa and biscuits.
The Book Week fun began on Monday when pupils dressed as their favourite book characters, and continued on Tuesday when poet Mike Jubb performed at the school. There was also a visit from author Mike Roberts.
