Around 1,000 pupils from Hreod Parkway School took part in a one-mile run to raise funds for a new school bus.
The money raised by the sponsored event will be split between buying a new school minibus and Children in Need.
PE teacher Jackie Cross said the minibus the school currently uses is old and costs a lot to run.
She said: "The children who took part put in a lot of effort and we were really pleased with them.
"The money will be a big help in getting a new minibus for the school."
The school expects to know how much was raised in a few weeks.
