A blaze ripped through part of Durrington High Street on Friday, November 10 destroying a hair salon and causing serious damage to the Spar supermarket.
The Cut 'n' Curl salon, which is above the Spar shop, was left completely gutted by the fire, while the supermarket will be shut for at least another three weeks.
Firefighters were called out to Durrington soon after 1am on Friday following reports that the salon was alight.
Crews from Amesbury, Salisbury and Wilton needed four pumping appliances, two hose reels and breathing apparatus to bring the fire under control.
It is thought that it was caused by an electrical fault on a shared fuse box in the property.
Manager of the Spar supermarket Michael Crook said: "It was quite a shock and it has been a complete nightmare. The hair salon bore the brunt of the incident. There is nothing left of it and they have even lost their roof."
It is not known whether the Cut 'n' Curl hair salon will be able to reopen for business.
When the Journal tried to contact them earlier this week they would not comment on either the extent of the damage or their plans for the future.
Police investigating the incident are not treating it as suspicious.
