VANDALS smashed the back window of a car in Warminster showering a toddler with tiny shards of glass.
The three-year-old girl was sitting in the back seat of a Vauxhall Astra which was parked outside her home in Victoria Road in Warminster.
Her mother, in her 20s, stepped inside the house for a few seconds and came out to find her daughter covered in glass.
The back window had been smashed.
PC Adrian Burt of Warminster police said: "It is an awful incident and it is very lucky she was not seriously injured."
The incident happened at about 10.20am on Tuesday.
Police are appealing for witness on (01985) 847000.
l DARING thieves stole an HGV lorry and trailer containing toys worth more than £100,000 from HT Transport in Westbury, last Sunday night.
The thieves broke into the high-security premises on the West Wilts Trading Estate using a security card, initially stealing a selection of keys for several vehicles, before taking the lorry and trailer.
The stolen property has been returned to the company.
