THE latest progress report on the A303 road scheme at Stonehenge has been released by the Highways Agency.
A draft environmental report has been considered by statutory consultees and will be passed on to other interested parties once their response has been considered.
Some traffic surveys have already been completed and more are scheduled for the new year.
Wildlife surveys will also be carried out through 2001.
An environmental statement will be produced once all the data has been gathered.
Speaking on behalf of the Highways Agency, project sponsor Ed Bradley said: "We are taking this opportunity to keep people informed of the progress of these surveys so that if passers-by see people inspecting the site closely they will know what it is about."
