It was most heartening to see the tremendous support from members of the public on Remembrance Sunday at the Cenotaph at Regent Circus.
I would like to thank McArthurGlen for the memorial plaque in the Designer Outlet Village and for its support in allowing the British Legion to commemorate all those railway workers who answered the call in our hour of need.
My thanks also go to the staff at Steam, especially curator Tim Bryan, for the service of dedication to the memorial plaques.
The plaques, which now grace the workshops, were made and paid for by the railway workers and it is fitting that they are now part of Steam.
The names they record are part of us and our heritage, and my thanks and appreciation go out to all who took part.
