CAMPAIGNERS against the development of Swindon's Front Garden will meet for a rally tomorrow ahead of a crucial council meeting.

They will gather at Old Rushy Platt railway sidings.

The rally is planned for 3pm and anyone who opposes the plans will be able to sign a petition and collect free stickers

Councillors will meet on Thursday to decide whether to allocate the land for housing in the Wiltshire and Swindon joint local structure plan.

The proposal is to build 3,800 houses on the land, between Swindon and the M4 motorway.

A Government directive states that 23,000 more homes need to be built in Swindon in the next decade.
