A drop in waiting lists at Swindon's Princess Mar-garet Hospital has been praised by a Swindon MP.
Figures show the number of out-patients waiting more than 13 weeks to see a consultant dropped from 3,051 in July to 2,114 in September.
South Swindon MP Julia Drown believes they show current steps being taken at the hospital are proving successful.
She said: "I have received letters from constituents who have raised concerns about the waiting times at Princess Margaret Hospital.
"It is good to see progress being made. I know they will welcome these latest figures and will want to pass on their thanks to the hard work of NHS staff in achieving this.
"I congratulate the staff at PMH for such a marked improvement.
"Analysis done by hospital staff found ways to work more efficiently and the result is a better service for Swindon patients."
