Teenager Jamie Middleton has already proved he's fighting fit for the Army by winning the Royal Gloucestershire Berkshire and Wiltshire Regiment's rowing challenge.
The 19-year-old Swindon man beat all other competitors who took part in the contest at the regiment's recruitment stands which have been held across the region over the last two weeks.
The RGBW, which is currently stationed in Northern Ireland, is keen to recruit as many new soldiers as possible and has already received more than 100 requests for more information.
Jamie is thinking seriously about joining the Army. For recording the fastest time in the challenge, he won a mountain bike, presented to him in The Parade by Colonel of the regiment, Major General Robin Grist, on Saturday.
