Swindon Town's footballers will kick start the Christmas celebrations by taking part in the Christ-mas carnival.
It will be the first year that the first team has taken part in the parade, which will make its way through the town's shopping centre on Sunday. Players will be supported by the club's youth team, the Rockin' Robin and Funky Fledg-ling mascots and the Robinettes cheerleaders.
Swindon Town's commercial manager Jackie Kent said: "It is a great event and there's lots of local people which makes this an ideal opportunity for us to get involved with the people of Swindon."
After joining stiltwalkers, magicians, clowns, dancers and singers in the parade the first team will be signing autographs from the Har-greaves sports shop in the Plaza of the Brunel Centre from 11am.
Event organiser Sally Barker said: "We are thrilled that Swin-don's own football club are keen to be involved in this event.
"It's great that fans will also get the players on a more personal level at the signing after."
