Children at Princess Margaret Hospital's Thames Ward had a surprise when the unit was presented with a wide-screen television.
The 32-inch TV was handed over to staff at the ward by IT solutions company PricewaterhouseCoopers which is based at the Delta Business Park.
Company spokesman Linda Johnson said: "We are replacing some of our equipment, including one of our televisions, so we thought it would be a good idea to donate this to a good cause.
"I think we can be sure that it will get some good use."
The Thames children's ward at Princess Margaret Hospital has 26 beds and cares for children up to the age of 16.
