"Thunderirds are go!" - again - and no-one is more surprised at the return of the cult Sixties' heroes than Salisbury artist Graham Bleathman.

The former Salisbury Journal artist was back in his home city on Saturday to sign copies of his latest book, Thunderbirds FAB Cross Sections, which features his magnificent drawings and pictures from the hit television puppet show, which is enjoying a new lease of life.

Graham was just six years old when the show was first televised, but has remained a loyal fan and is delighted the show is creating another generation of fans.

Since leaving the Journal in 1991, Graham has lived in Bristol where he has created the original artwork for Thunderbirds - The Comic and done paintings, drawings and artwork of Thunderbirds for jigsaws, magazines and books.

Graham, who signed copies of his latest book at WH Smith, said: "I am surprised Thunderbirds returned to the screen so quickly, because it is only eight or nine years since it was last broadcast."
