It is more important to be learning than learned, Salisbury College principal Gillian Brain told graduating students last week.
The largest ever college graduation ceremony at Salisbury Cathedral focused on the theme of lifelong learning.
Mrs Brain urged students to carry on asking questions throughout their lives, telling them: "Those of you who realise that learning never stops are the ones who will survive and be successful."
Mrs Brain reflected on the wide age range and differing backgrounds of
Salisbury College students, paying tribute to the 436 students who are old enough to draw a pension.
She said: "All human life really is here. Our students prove that there is no excuse for not participating in the learning revolution."
