Youngsters enjoyed a taste of the Mediterranean on Tuesday when they cooked up a pizza feast as part of National Italian Food Week.
Children at the Leapfrog Day Nursery, Chippenham, made up their own dough, spun pizza bases and created their own toppings for a delicious Italian treat.
The day was devoted to all things Italian, with the three and four year olds making menus and place mats, seeing an Italian flag and learning some Italian words.
They dined on spaghetti bolognese for lunch and took their pizzas home for tea.
"The day went really well," said deputy manager Claire Milsom.
Nursery manager Rachel Spanswick said: "At Leapfrog we aim to introduce the children to lots of different cultures.
"With an Italian food week we had the perfect opportunity to teach youngsters about Italy, and even a few Italian words like ciao.
"And it gives us a great excuse to have a slice of pizza or two."
The day nursery, off the Bath Road near Sainsbury's, opened in February last year and has 102 places for babies and pre-school children. The national Italian food and drink awareness campaign runs until tomorrow.
