THE enthusiastic members of Atworth Youth Club are celebrating a cash boost which will go towards new toilets.
The village youth club has been awarded a grant of £200 by West Wiltshire District Council's northern area committee.
Youth club leader Mavis King was delighted that the club's application had been successful.
She said: "The toilets were put in the building in about 1965 when it was built. When I took over in 1995 they were pretty grotty, so it really is about time this work was done."
The club provides activities for up to 70 young people aged eight to 16, four nights a week. The recently introduced girls' nights have been a huge success. Girls take part in all sorts of arts and crafts activities, including candle-making and collage.
The youth club has its own building which has been decorated by the young people.
"Once we get the new toilets, things will be even better," said Mrs King.
