A woman has been fined £200 for not clearing up after her dog when it fouled on grass near her home.
Wendy Adams, of Whitebeam Court, Pinehurst, was found guilty in her absence at Swindon Magistrates Court, of failing to clean up after her collie cross had fouled an area of grass in Pinehurst on June 15.
She was also found guilty of allowing the dog in a public place without a collar or name tag.
Ms Adams was yesterday fined £50 for each offence and ordered to pay £100 court costs.
After the case, the council's health and environment services group leader, Steve Harcourt, said: "This was the council's second successful prosecution under the Dogs (Fouling of Land) Act 1996 and is part of its commitment to discourage this anti-social practice."
