Nalgo confirmed the impression that they will be challenging for the title once again when they beat Wootton Bassett I by 20 runs in the Swindon indoor cricket league's Division One. Darren Fisher made 45no and Gary Lawton 31no as they rattled up a winning 139 for 4. Bassett totalled 119 for 3, Dave Ponting 44no and Terry Davies 30no.
In Division Two Nalgo II lost their unbeaten record when they went down by 17 runs to Wanborough, who were indebted to Nick Stacey 47no and Tom Clinning 34no for their total of 114 for 4. Nalgo II could never quite recover from the loss of two wickets in the first over and were all out for 97, Andy Smith making 46.
Wroughton I registered their first win by 18 runs over Ramsbury. Alan Stratford posted 39no for the winners and Ajay 38 for the losers.
New Asians are definitely the team to beat in Division Three and won again this time by 48 runs over Wroughton 2.
