Head coach Jon Callard was understandably happy with the 42-19 win over Rotherham which racked up a maximum five points for Bath.
"I am definitely pleased with the five points,"he said. "We analysed a video and watched their pack and were able to stem them.
"It is a credit to our forwards. In sticky conditions, the crowd got behind us and in all it was a pleasing afternoon."
The undoubted man of the match was former Australian Under-21 outside half Shaun Berne.
Berne crossed for a try and added 12 more points with the boot in an excellent all-round display which pleased his coach.
Callard said: "Berne controlled the game well at number 10. He enabled us to get our pattern going.
"He is a good natural ball player and he definitely has the temperament to develop into a superb goal kicker."
Another player who had an outstanding afternoon was two-try hero Dan Lyle.
Callard was delighted with the form of his American international.
"Dan was very up for it," he said. "I have got to take my hat off to him. Having represented his country, he could have gone through the motions but he was excellent.
"He showed great leadership and led from the front throughout."
The return of Steve Borthwick to the second row also brought some much needed stability to the Bath line-out.
Callard said: "We are lucky in that we have two world class line-out forwards in Lyle and Borthwick, and Steve's ability to steal line-out ball is well worth an England cap.
"Steve was very upset earlier this week with regard to the England players strike but the issue is now dead and buried.
"We are hoping to get the best out of the players when they return but England coaches Andy Robinson and Brian Ashton have my full support."
The next fixture on the calendar for Bath is a trip to the Memorial ground for the clash with local rivals Bristol.
Callard recognises that this will be a difficult match.
He said: "It is immensely difficult with the full squad, so with so many players missing it is a huge challenge.
"We need to take our game on a stage for that match. We have got the resources, albeit young, but they will take the Bath spirit with them.
"It will be a huge challenge but we'll be up for it. It is part of their development but the young guys have had a couple more games and when we have got a full squad they push the established players all the way."
