Swindon and District League: Division Two leaders Moredon Gulag crashed to their first defeat of the season at home to Swindon Eagles.

The game was one of only a handful to survive the monsoon-like weather.

Eagles cruised to a 5-0 victory, with Stuart Hall (2), Mick Doolan, Derek Hynds and Colin Yates the scorers.

In the Advertiser Cup SKS Blyskawica gave their all but were beaten 7-1 by Premier Division Shaftesbury, whose scorers were Marley Griffiths (2), Mick Walker, Mick Thomas, Dean Parsons (2) and Darren Parsons with a left foot 35-yarder into the top of the net.

In the Premier, leaders County Ground won a tight game with Skin Graffiti by 5-3. Their scorers were Justin Bailey (3), Colin Baker and Craig Miles.

In Division One Trailers won an entertaining match 5-2 against Nalgo for whom Micky Warlow and veteran Pasci Vitale scored. The winners scorers were Darren Dawson (2), C Woods, Joe Cole, Steve Davis. Spectrum couldn't hold Jigsaw who won 6-1 with goals from Gareth Walton (2), Matt Webster (2) and Paul Johnson (2).

In Division Two Artois Athletic beat Wheatsheaf 4-2 away. Tony Holdway, John McCarten, Pete Rowley and Mark Peaches got the Artois goals, and Wheatsheaf scorers were Simon Titcombe and Ali Barber. NS Optimum found Stratton Res just too good, losing by the odd goal in five. NS scorers were P Batty and B Davis, with the winners from Alex Leddi (2) and Graham Kaye. Woolworth scored through N Miles but went dow 6-1 to Westwood, whose scorers were Mel White (2), Sean Lewis, Lee Constable, S Woodward and R Oliver.

Manor beat JigsawRes 3-2 with goals from Vince Goodwin, Vince Clayton and Allan Collett. Jigsaw scorers were Kev Mangell and A B Iron. Vicaima were too good for Walcot Boys, winning 7-0 with goals from Justin Woollen (3), Shane Woollen, Gavin Alcock (2) and B Davis.

Highworth King and Queen's good form continued, beating Gorse Hill 5-1. Matt Packer scored for the losers, with Taylor, Steve Wilks, Brian Glendening, Ian McCarthy and Keys scoring.

In the Under 16 AFC Wroughton beat Wootton Bassett 2-1.
