Dave Evans admitted he enjoyed spending 24-hours sitting in a bath of beans to raise money for a good cause.
The 34-year-old took up the challenge at Highworth Town football club to raise funds for 12-year-old Richard Hestor, who has cerebral palsy.
Dave's ordeal will hopefully net Richard the £1,000 needed to provide special equipment which will allow him to feed himself.
"I love baked beans so I thought this would be a different way of raising the money," he said.
Dave visited his local supermarket and bought 222 tins of beans for his unusual feat.
The bath was placed in the main bar of the football club at the weekend.
"It was a bit cold at first and I think there were a few funny looks. It wasn't too bad once I warmed up a bit though," he said.
Dave, a committee member at Highworth Town, said the club and his workmates had been very supportive.
He was not alone in his fundraising lunacy. Fellow committee member Paul Richards, had his head shaved at the club.
