A North Wiltshire Labour party group finally got to meet education minister David Blunkett.
Two previous attempts to meet Mr Blunkett were cancelled once because of a motorway accident and the second time because Paddington station was closed.
This time the North Wiltshire group made certain, as they decided they would turn up to see him while he was on a visit to Swindon.
Mr Blunkett was invited to Swindon by the Labour group to meet with local politicians at a wine and cheese event at Even Swindon's community centre.
Also present were South Swindon MP Julia Drown and North Swindon MP Michael Wills.
