What do 30-100 people think they are doing for democracy, with their verbose leader, self elected Terry King, proclaiming that he's taking their fight to the High Court. Who is going to pay for this expensive and unnecessary action and what are their motives I would ask?

Are they really that concerned about the environment, how many of them use a car or perhaps two cars, gas and electric, or wear oil-based fibres in their clothing.

It is about time this very, very, very small minority, less than half of one per cent of the total population of Swindon, stopped and thought about the future generations in Swindon and what building on this land will give them.

I liked the letter from I J Howard in tonight's (Nov 24) Adver who pointed out some of the untruths behind the bile the FRAG people have been subjecting us all to over the last few months. I had to laugh, it really showed these people up for what they are, NIMBYs, water running off the chalk downs, if they walk about the countryside as much as they say they do, then you would have thought they would have noticed the distinct lack of rivers or streams running up and over the Downs.

Having been exposed on this scare tactic and other irrelevant red herrings the latest is the alleged noise from the railway and the motorway. One wonders what FRAG considers to be the nearest a building should be to either a motorway or a railway line, one mile, two miles or more in a country the size of the UK, get real.

I say to all members of FRAG it is now time to shut up and allow democracy and progress to move forward.

The dinosaurs are a thing of the past just like your views, if you don't like it there is a simple answer, move.
