Home buyers had an extra incentive to reserve a new home at the weekend.
Newland Homes offered £2,500 worth of carpets and £500 towards the cost of legal fees to anyone reserving a plot on Saturday on their Britannia Court development, in High Street, Paulton.
Twenty-nine three and four-bedroom homes are planned for the site, with prices ranging from £88,500 to £169,950 in the first phase.
Halifax Property Services in Midsomer Norton, referral agents for the development, say there has already been a good deal of interest and offering £3,000-worth of incentives has boosted sales before the Christmas lull.
Sonia Goodyear, site sales negotiator for Newland Homes, said: "Five people qualified for the offer by bringing in a voucher advertised in the local press. I was very pleased. We had a good weekend."
One of the remarkable features of the properties is that attic room roof trusses have been used in all the house types.
This gives extensive top floor accommodation with access from a full staircase.
Each house has double glazing, gas central heating and garage.
All front gardens, parking spaces and shared spaces are landscaped and back gardens are turfed as standard.
Buyers can choose kitchen and bathroom colours, subject to the stage of construction, and there is a range of optional extras. Kitchens come equipped with integrated stainless steel oven, hob and extractor fan, plumbing for washing machine and dishwasher, wall tiling and floor finish.
The show home is open from 11am 5pm, Thursday to Monday, and site negotiator Sonia Goodyear can be contacted on (01761) 412890.
