SWINDON Town Ladies scored an easy 6-1 victory over local rivals Reading as Tracy Peacock hit four in a South West Combination League fixture.
Town took the lead in only the sixth minute, Leanne Taylor cutting in before knocking it on to Tracy Peacock who shot low into the net.
After dominating the opening period, it was no surprise when Swindon went two up in the 26th minute. Clare Wheeler knocked a long ball through the home defence for Tracy Peacock to run on to and shoot into the corner of the net.
The visitors were pushed back on to the defensive after the break and Town's Jessica Weir was now the busier of the two goalkeepers. In the 57th minute the home side finally got the goal they had threatened.
Hayley Holland's corner was not properly cleared and the ball fell to Beverley Hall whose shot crossed the line before before it could be scrambled away.
But Town restored their two-goal advantage in the 67th minute when Holly Ashman worked her way down the right and drew the keeper before laying the ball off to Tracy Peacock to shoot into the empty goal and complete her hat-trick.
The Town had the edge now and in the 77th minute scored again to make it 4-1. Michele Rich found space on the right before hitting a good ball into the centre of the goal which was met by Tracy Peacock. Her diving header gave the keeper no chance.
Town's fifth goal arrived in the 83rd minute. Michelle Rich and Adelle Taylor combined well on the right to open up the defence and create the opening for Holly Ashman to score.
Four minutes later the Town took their account to six when Holly Ashman scored again, from close range, after combining well with Tracy Peacock.
