SWINDON schools have captured a day in time for future generations.
Four primary schools have each prepared a time capsule to be buried in the landscaped roof gardens of Swindon's prestigious new Plaza 21 development in Sanford Street next spring
The capsules were presented to Plaza 21 on Tuesday.
The participating schools are Chalet Special School, Drove Primary School, King William Primary School and Peatmoor Community Primary School.
Each school has filled their container with items that illustrate a day in the life of their school.
Alan Voyce, Head of King William Street Primary, explained: "The day we recorded was November 22, and we used a variety of media including camcorder and digital camera.
"We made videos of lessons and playtime, and the children bought in objects to give a taster of everyday life in the year 2000, such as Pokemon cards and videos of television programs."
