I AM looking for any descendants of Bertha and Humphrey Hayward who lived at 31 Exeter Street, Swindon in the 19th century.
My grandfather who I never knew, called Albert Edward Hayward (b 1.1.1879), and his father worked at the former GWR works. My grandfather married in Manchester on 2.4.1904 and I am the daughter of one of his three daughters, namely Olive May. The May was handed down from one of my grandfather's sisters and then on to me.
Albert Edward Hayward served in the FWW and eventually died of a disease and is buried in Italy.
If there are any descendants of the above Haywards I would be very pleased to hear from them as I am trying to do a family history and perhaps obtain a photograph of my grandfather and his parents.
