A POLITICAL row over appointments to a working party has been settled.

Liberal Democrats were furious when their member, Malmesbury councillor Lesley Bennett, was removed from a group dealing with the county council's IT requirements last month.

They accused the Tory administration of grabbing places when appointing newly-elected councillor David Lay in her place. Council leader Peter Chalke has now announced the Tories had decided both members should serve on the committee.
