Prospect Hospice has taken delivery of a 25ft Christmas tree.
The fir tree, which has been donated by Savernake Forest, is part of the Light a Life celebration, where people are invited to sponsor a light on the tree to celebrate the life of someone special to them.
Haulage firm W Mundy and Son transported the tree from the forest to the Prospect Hospice in Wroughton where it was planted in the grounds.
Prospect's head of fundraising, Ann Wilkins said: "It is quite an operation transporting the tree and then erecting it outside the hospice. I don't know what we would do without our sponsors who made it all possible.
"It is a fantastic effort by a lot of people."
BT will be providing a hoist to help tie lights to the tree.
The Light a Life celebration takes place on Saturday, December 9 with carols by Swindon Choral Society and Lydiard Millicent Primary School. Arkells brewery will provide mulled wine for the event.
Prospect Hospice, which has been established for 24 years, provides care for terminally ill patients.
Anyone wishing to sponsor a light or attend the carol service should call 01793 815142.
