Student Kim Brewser can't wait for pop group Texas to release their new single because she's in it.
The track Hidden Smile is taken from the group's forthcoming album and is due for release in December.
In the video, singer Sharleen Spiteri plays Elvis Presley and 17-year-old Kim is a besotted fan.
At one point in the video, which was shot in London last month, Kim, of Park North, dashes on stage to hand "Elvis" a hanky to mop his brow.
"It was brilliant fun and a fantastic experience," said Kim.
"Sharleen was really lovely and in between filming she would talk to us about her career and stuff."
Kim, 17, a former runner-up in the Evening Advertiser's poetry competition in 1997, is currently studying for a BTEC in Performing Arts at New College.
She won the part in the video after her agent forwarded her name for an audition in June.
Kim hopes the part will lead to more television and promotional work.
When she completes her course next year she hopes to find work in London's West End as a dancer or actress.
She made her TV debut for the BBC in March of this year, when along with another New College student, Nicki Mepstead, 33, Kim appeared in the daytime soap opera Doctors, which stars Christopher Timothy.
"Being in front of the camera was wonderful, it reminded me what I really want to do," she said.
"I have always loved dancing singing and acting and when you are on stage you become very focused.
"I know it is what I want to do and I am lucky to have the support of my friends, family and college."
In the meantime Kim will be keeping an eye on music channel MTV for a glimpse of the new video.
She added: "I haven't seen the whole thing yet so I have no idea what it will be like.
"All I know is that I had to wear a bright orange flowery 1960s style dress.
"When the wardrobe woman pulled it out I nearly died!"
