Steven Goldsworthy's silky scissor skills have earned him a place in the hairdressing hall of fame.
Steven has been voted the Wales and South West hairdresser of the year for the third time in five years.
The British Hairdressing Awards are recognised as the industry's equivalent of the Oscars.
Steven, whose business is based in Catherine Street, Swindon, has more than 20 years experience in hairdressing and picked up his third award at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
About 1,500 of the country's leading hairdressers gathered for the ceremony, compered by television celebrity John Leslie.
He received his award from Jayne Lewis-Orr, of Hairdressers Journal International, and Peter Belcher of Schwarzkopf.
"I am really pleased to have won for a third time. To have a place in the hairdressing hall of fame is really special," he said.
The judges had to examine photographs of models submitted by Steven.
He worked with each of the models to create a particular look for them.
"All the pictures had a particular theme. I used a lot of gold and eighties make-up. I had the idea back in April but if you look in the shops now they are full of gold and the eighties look is very popular," he said.
His third title means he will be asked to judge entries in next year's competition.
Although he is Swindon based, his career has provided him with plenty of opportunity to travel.
His skills are recognised in a variety of European countries, from Turkey to Italy.
Steven has just returned from Italy where he has been introducing Italian hairdressers to new styles and methods of cutting hair.
Steven is guaranteed a return to next year's ceremony, whether he wins a category or not. He will be invited back to pick up his hall of fame award.
