A nursing home which looks after more than 30 vulnerable residents is set to close.
Management of the Conifers Nursing Home in Minety point to low levels of funding and increased staffing costs which have forced the move.
It is the latest in a string of Swindon nursing homes which have closed due to financial pressures.
Ivor Stuckey, managing director of the Diva Care which runs the home, said: "Continued low levels of local authority funding and increased staffing costs combined with the rural location of the home have made it impossible to continue to provide high quality care in this area.
"Staff will be interviewed and will be offered relocation to our other homes which will continue to provide care in Wiltshire."
Sandra Calloway, whose 85-year-old mother is cared for at the home, said: "I don't blame the nursing home. It is the fault of central government that the home is closing. Social services need more money to provide more care for people like my mum."
She has since been able to find alternative accommodation for her mother at Goatacre House near Calne.
The Conifers Nursing home which employs 22 members of staff has been running since 1985.
It will close on December 16.
