A LIGHTING company's plans to use its Warminster premises as a warehouse could mean more lorries driving through narrow residential estates.

Warminster Lighting Centre's plans to change the use of the Old Silk Works unit from industrial and office to industrial and warehouse, were due to be discussed at last night's southern area committee but residents have already voiced their disapproval.

Five months ago, they spoke out about road safety concerns after lorries repeatedly mounted pavements in Beech Avenue to the industrial site in Factory Road.

Warminster Civic Trust has also voiced concerns saying the companies should move to the purpose-built Crusader Park site on Bath Road.
