HAVING been fortunate enough to see Millennium Moves 2000, I read your report Dance of the Century with interest, and found only half a story!
As a dance teacher (now retired) of 30 years' experience I was delighted to see such a consummately professional show presented by Stephanie Squire.
This was an innovative, imaginative and, at times, very moving evocation of the 20th century, presented in a very polished format.
It utilised and harmonised the varying degrees of talent of the young dancers, giving each an equal chance and achieved an excellent standard of performance.
I can appreciate, from personal experience, the immense efforts on everyone's part, needed to achieve this and I think Miss Squire is due an enormous vote of thanks for her show, as are all the young dancers who gave their time and devotion to dance to such splendid effect.
