YOUNG musicians from the south west will perform in Bradford on Avon next year as part of a national festival.
Music for Youth is staging 47 regional music festivals across the country next spring, providing the opportunity for up to 45,000 young musicians and singers to perform in front of adjudicators.
Around 280 groups will then be invited to perform at the National Festival on the South Bank in London. West Wiltshire Youth Orchestra and the combined West Wiltshire Junior Strings have successfully reached the London stage in previous years.
There are no entry qualifications or fees, with classes for all styles of music at all levels. The closing date for entries is December 11. Entry forms are available from Music for Youth, 102 Point Pleasant, London, SW18 1PP. Tel 0208 870 90624.
