When New College students needed a camel costume, they found their request came up humps.
Performers staging the panto Abdul And The Eye Of Ra next week were nearly snookered when it transpired they had no suit for the essential role of Eric the Magic Camel. But following an appeal in the Advertiser, which produced a kind lend from costume hirers Giggles, the show can go on.
"Eric is an essential part of the story," said Chris Scott, New College head of performing arts.
