Glyn Jones (November 28 says that FRAG members should "shut up and allow democracy and progress to move forward".
When using the word democracy Mr Jones would do well to remember that literally thousands of Swindon people signed a petition organised by Terry King and his group, and that councillors are elected by the people, to serve the people.
Every step of the way, Terry King has presented his case with facts, not Nimbyism, as Mr Jones suggests.
The whole area the council now wants to build on is prone to flooding as was recently proved by the heavy rainfall.
It is too near the motorway, and will add to Old Town's traffic congestion. I am often caught up in the congestion at rush hour. It can take 30 minutes to travel along Faringdon Road and more traffic is something I could do without.
In 1997, Labour said it would build on brownfield sites first, greenfields last.
Were Sue Bates, Derek Benfield, and co all too busy doing other things to listen to their party's manifesto?
People want green areas protected, which is why places like the New Forest are designated National Parks, and two million plus people, are supporters of the National Trust.
I'm no NIMBY Mr Jones, just a NIABY, Not In Anyone's Back Yard.
